“Bless the Lord, all his works, in all places of his dominion. Bless the Lord, O my soul!” Psalm 103:22
Recovery Mode
Thankfully we are on the mend from our stomach flu. Baby Caleb is still a bit under the weather, and we’re easing back in to normal foods. We’re very thankful it was only a 24-hour one!
Foreign Police
Foreigners are required to declare their arrival/residence within three days of arrival. We tried visiting the Foreign Police office on Monday, but they were closed. We will go again tomorrow (Wednesday). Prayers appreciated that there wouldn’t be any issues there. Our visas are approved, but we don’t have them in hand yet.
Minivan

Thanks to your support and prayers, we were able to purchase a really great vehicle! They really emphasise the ‘mini’ in minivan here. It should really be called a ‘micro van’ 🙂 It’ll be exactly what we need, and should last us a long time. We were also able to stock it with new car seats since we had to ditch our old ones at the Spokane Airport. We are very grateful!
House

We considered hiring a realtor for our house search, but that would have been an extra expense. Instead, at last, God graciously provided us with a great house in a beautiful area (Lidice) through our online searching. We think we could stay there 5 years or so if things pan out well.
The home rental is a bit higher in price than we planned for, but at this point we have to pick a home rather than spend too much up-front costs on temporary AirBnbs. The home was among our very few options, and it’s a great option. Lord-willing we will move in on Monday/Tuesday next week!
Talk to you soon…

That’s all for now. Once again, thank you all for your prayers and support and care. We can’t do this without you!
Until next time, please keep praying for the details involved in all the things mentioned above. Please also pray we’d be extra intentional with our kids. Today Bennett said, “There’s a lot of things going on. You guys can’t play with me.” While the reality is that we can’t do it all, all the time, we want the kiddos to still feel loved during this time of strange change. Pray we’d handle everything faithfully, and trust that the God’s power is made perfect in our weaknesses when we can’t do it all (2 Cor. 12:9).
Talk to you soon!
