We’re all packed up! 10 action packers, 10 suitcases, 5 – … wait… yeah, FIVE Millicans! 😉

In 24 hours we will be getting on our plane!

This past week has been packed with all kinds of last minute details, lots of visits with friends and families, a glitch here and there, and lots of prayer. But… here we go.

U.S. House

We sign papers TODAY for closing! The official closing date is June 12! It seems like things are still moving forward just fine. Praise God!

Dog

We found a great home for our dog! The family is great, the dog-buddy he now has with them is really great, and Jared’s brother is friends with the family. It’s a great situation.

Czech House

We do not have a house in the Czech Republic yet, but there are a couple prospects. In the meantime, we’ll stay at temporary housing for about a week at a time and will pray God provides a long-term house very soon! At the end of this week is when we’ll learn if we were chosen for one of the homes we applied to. We’ll also meet with a man who is willing to consider us as renters for his home. However, that home will not be available until the end of June, so option one would be more ideal at this point.

Prayer

Please continue praying for us!

• Visas: We don’t have our visas in-hand officially yet. Pray we don’t run into any issues during travel because of this. We DO have passports. Visas will be sent to us in CZ.
• Car: Thankfully we have a car to borrow for a week or two, which gives us some flexibility to shop for our own.
• Joy, Trust, Health: Psalm 103 reminds us to not forget Yahweh’s benefits – from the greatest (forgiveness of sins) to ‘the basics’ of daily provisions. We have every reason for joy and trust in the Lord as he has cared for us on all fronts, and his character is faithfulness. Claire and Jared have both had some physical health issues these last couple weeks. Pray for healing and endurance.
• The Kids: They’re sensing that a lot is about to change. Pray we’d love them gently and steadfastly. Pray we’d show them the love of God during this special yet difficult time.
• For those we are leaving: We’ve had a few vivid reminders this week of the pain others feel when loved ones leave. Pray Psalm 103 for them too.
