Hello friends and family!

We went to the hospital on Saturday the 28th for Claire to be induced.

We waited at the hospital for about 26 hours before the second step of induction was done. After the second induction, active labor was only about 1.5 hours, and Claire handled it amazingly.

Thirty hours total was longer than we wanted to be at the hospital, but many other specific prayers were answered. We even had a great gospel conversation with one of the doctors.

Ultimately it was a beautiful experience, Claire delivered VERY well, and baby is healthy. So is Claire. The only complication was some excessive blood loss, but that was quickly handled.

We had a check up today, and baby is still looking good. Our first night of sleep wasn’t great, but we’ve had worse. Several friends here have offered their help with meals and taking the bigger kids for a few hours, etc.

Please welcome Annie Loraine Millican, born June 29 at 11:35am. (Loraine is the name of Jared’s grandma on mom’s side.) Please continue to pray for us as we adapt to being a family of six.
